Celebration Afternoon Tea

The celebration Afternoon Tea starts with a platter of hot savoury entrées,  followed by the service of the 5-tiered Traditional Afternoon Tea:

Freshly baked brioche topped with chestnut mushrooms and wilted spinach sauteed in garlic

~

Slow roasted belly of pork glazed with apple and ginger, braised silver skin onions and a savoury crumble

Pan fried potato cake with apple, ginger and chilli, resting on an Asian inspired ribbon salad (Vegetarian Alternative)

~

Herb crusted loin of cod, petits pois, in a leek and white wine fricassee topped with pea shoots

Gnocchi flavoured with garlic, parsley and thyme, petits pois, in a leek and white wine fricassee topped with pea shoots (Vegetarian Alternative)

The traditional afternoon tea, which is included, consists of:

Wild hake, clam and sweetcorn pot, topped with Duchess potatoes

Winter vegetable, squash and three bean pot, topped with Duchess potatoes (Vegetarian Alternative)

Venison and roasted chestnuts wrapped in a layer of hot watercrust pastry, finished with a Port, chocolate and juniper gel and crisp sage

Vintage cheddar, thyme and pickle, wrapped in a layer of hot watercrust pastry, finished with a seasonal chutney and crisp sage (Vegetarian Alternative)

Creamy Goats cheese and honey roasted beetroot salad, pickled apples and crispy shallot laced with sweet balsamic dressing.

Baked gorgonzola cheesecake topping a black treacle and walnut base, dressed with a quenelle of fig relish and a prosciutto crisp

Smoked Scottish salmon mousseline set upon a squid ink blini with a brunoise of cucumber and garnished with crispy salmon skin

Whipped smoked feta cheese set upon a chive and spring onion blini, with a brunoise of cucumber and garnished with lemon tapioca crisp

Chorizo, paprika and pork sausage encased in puff pastry, embellished with a tomato and chilli jam and parmesan crisp

Japanese yuzu fruit and English raspberry posset garnished with soft meringue, pistachio cranberry and lemon biscotti and edible flowers

Malibu and coconut Crème Brûlée, topping a spiced caramelised pineapple compote, finished with a strawberry and sesame butter biscuit

All of our Afternoon Teas are hand crafted in their entirety for your enjoyment. Individual dietary requirements can always be catered for. Simply let us know at the time of making your reservation, as individual requirements may not always be possible on the day.

In addition to our handmade Traditional Afternoon Tea and Celebration Afternoon Tea we also offer a Vegan Afternoon Tea, a Vegetarian Afternoon Tea and Pescatarian Afternoon Tea and a Gluten Free Afternoon Tea. If you request a nut free Afternoon Tea we will endeavour to ensure that there are no nuts in the Afternoon Tea offering – however all afternoon tea products are produced in an environment where nuts are used and we cannot guarantee that our food is 100% free from nut traces
